Student Profile - Stephanie Tang

As senior director of marketing and sales operations & training, Stephanie Tang oversees the responsibilities of three of Ironwood Pharmaceutical’s commercial departments. In marketing operations, she optimizes the medical/regulatory/legal review process for promotional materials. As the sales operations lead, she heads up sales strategy for field analytics, customer targeting, incentives, communication, and operational resources. For sales training, she is responsible for product training as well as representative and management development. Prior to this role, Stephanie built Ironwood’s first sales force and launched the company’s first product as regional sales manager. She began her career as a sales representative for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. At Pfizer, Stephanie held various positions of increasing responsibility in sales, operations, account management, and marketing.
